The Office Scanner app provides query commands to extract text from document files.
When document files are remotely collected and downloaded via the API of an NDR (Network Detection & Response) or EDR (Endpoint Detection & Response) solution, you can extract text from the files to automatically analyze keyword inclusion or paragraph similarity.
MS Word Files
Extracts text from MS Word files on a paragraph-by-paragraph basis. Tables are represented using the | character.
PowerPoint Files
Extracts text from PowerPoint files on a slide-by-slide basis.
