Overview

Genian NAC is a versatile solution that began with network access control and has since expanded to include features such as patch management and wireless security. It uses sensors deployed across internal network zones to identify assets and users, enabling or blocking network access based on compliance with security policies. The instructions provided below are specific to Genian NAC v5.0.

Issue API Key

1. Log in to the Genian NAC Admin Console and create a dedicated user account for API integration.
2. Click the Generate new key button to issue a new API key.

Set Up Connect Profile

1. Go to the Connect Profiles menu.
2. Add a new profile and configure it with the Genian NAC settings.

Set Up Response Targets

While you would typically configure the playbook to analyze and block after enough time, you can also immediately quarantine non-compliant IP addresses upon detection.
